altered card ALBUM

Using 1/3 of the My Originals "From the Heart" card kit I created an album filled with pockets for photos and journaling...or other memorabilia. Let me show you how!

Instructions

1. Choose four of the pre-printed cards from the My Originals "From the Heart" card kit.  Use adhesive along the BOTTOM and RIGHT edges...leave the top open to create a pocket.  Once the edges adhere and the adhesive dries a bit, use the chocolate stamp pad to ink the edges. 
2. For the JOURNAL TAGS that fit into the pocket created by the card...Cut a 3" wide x 5" tall piece of cardstock.  I made 2 tags from Sweet Leaf CS, and 2 tags from Chocolate CS.
3. On each journal tag, I put a 2.25"x2.25" piece of Colonial White CS for a photo mat for a 2"x2" photo...but feel free to be creative with these...journal on the whole card...add lots of little pictures...whatever!  Add an eyelet at the top and tie a ribbon/pull to it.  Finish by decorating them with stickers from the My Originals card kit and tuck it into the top of the card pocket.
4. For the PHOTO MATS (or journaling!) that go inside the vellum envelopes...Cut a piece of 3.5"x5.5" cardstock (I used Colonial White for the bottom mat).  Cut a piece of 3.25"x5.25" cardstock and adhere to the top of the bottom mat so there is an 1/8" border.  Adhere a 3"x5" photo on top and embellish with stickers from the My Originals card kit.  Make three of these photo mats.  
5. To ASSEMBLE the album...start with a card/pocket on top, then a vellum envelope (from the My Originals card kit) behind it, then another card/pocket behind that,  then another vellum envelope, then another card/pocket, and so on.  Be sure the vellum envelopes have the flap on the RIGHT side.  Punch three holes on the left side and attach everything together using 3-ring binder clips.
